My Diary: Guitar

Image
Once upon a time, I had a green guitar. I used to play and sing my own song every evening. On this time, I used to study Bachelor of Arts in Shahzadpur Government College. There was a song contest going in the college, some of my classmates recommend me to took part of the contest. I participated and I got the third prize for my song. The song I sang, it was about my country which was written by me. It was the first award in my life. Once I concentrated on drawing cartoon, then I stopped singing. Anyway, Now I have a new black guitar. I have some stories, no one knows, except the best friend. I have some hobbies, no one knows, except the best friend. Arifur Rahman 14.04.2017 Drøbak

My Diary: Freedom of Expression

The phrases " Freedom of Speech " and " Freedom of Expression " define themselves—they clearly convey what they mean and what they represent. However, I would like to share my own thoughts on these concepts. From my perspective, Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Expression are fundamental human rights. They represent the liberty to express one’s opinions in any form and through any media without fear of force or censorship. The word " Freedom " begins with "Free," but that does not imply that it comes without cost. Freedom is often earned through hard work, sacrifice, or a determined struggle for rights. It is both a constitutional and cultural value that demands vigilance to preserve. The value of freedom is difficult to gain and even harder to protect, yet it can be lost with alarming ease. Maintaining it requires social awareness and an understanding of the responsibility that comes with it. Freedom of Speech and Expression should not be treate...

My Diary: Making Mistake

I want to dedicate my life to doing something meaningful for art and humanity . I am well aware that I am not perfect—neither my language nor my art, nor I myself. But I always strive to do my best. Life on earth has never been easy for me, but none of us is born skilled or knowledgeable. We all learn and grow by doing. I understand that I might make many mistakes when I try to create something new. I also believe that if I try, I can achieve my best work. That is why I am not afraid of making small mistakes. If I let the fear of mistakes hold me back, I would never be able to start, and that would mean never reaching the goals I have set for my life. When it comes to making mistakes, I think that if I make one and realize it—or if someone else points it out—I can then find a way to fix it. I also believe that if I make a mistake, I am the one responsible for correcting it. This is my definition of a mistake: A mistake is the outcome of an event or action that went wrong, often due to ...

Inspirational Quotes

The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today.  - H. Jackson Brown, Jr. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. - Steve Jobs The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.  - Helen Keller No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.  - Aesop If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.  - Milton Berle Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!  - Audrey Hepburn Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.  - Rabindranath Tagore

The Fox & the Crow

Image
Aesop's Fables : One bright morning as the Fox was following his sharp nose through the wood in search of a bite to eat, he saw a Crow on the limb of a tree overhead. This was by no means the first Crow the Fox had ever seen. What caught his attention this time and made him stop for a second look, was that the lucky Crow held a bit of cheese in her beak. "No need to search any farther," thought sly Master Fox. "Here is a dainty bite for my breakfast." Up he trotted to the foot of the tree in which the Crow was sitting, and looking up admiringly, he cried, "Good-morning, beautiful creature!" The Crow, her head cocked to one side, watched the Fox suspiciously. But she kept her beak tightly closed on the cheese and did not return his greeting. "What a charming creature she is!" said the Fox. "How her feathers shine! What a beautiful form and what splendid wings! Such a wonderful Bird should have a very lovely voice since everythi...

The Dog & His Reflection

Image
Aesop's Fables : A Dog, to whom the butcher had thrown a bone, was hurrying home with his prize as fast as he could go. As he crossed a narrow footbridge, he happened to look down and saw himself reflected in the quiet water as if in a mirror. But the greedy Dog thought he saw a real Dog carrying a bone much bigger than his own. If he had stopped to think he would have known better. But instead of thinking, he dropped his bone and sprang at the Dog in the river, only to find himself swimming for dear life to reach the shore. At last, he managed to scramble out, and as he stood sadly thinking about the good bone he had lost, he realized what a stupid Dog he had been. It is very foolish to be greedy.

The Mother & the Wolf

Image
Aesop's Fables : Early one morning a hungry Wolf was prowling around a cottage at the edge of a village when he heard a child crying in the house. Then he heard the Mother's voice say: "Hush, child, hush! Stop your crying, or I will give you to the Wolf!" Surprised but delighted at the prospect of so delicious a meal, the Wolf settled down under an open window, expecting every moment to have the child handed out to him. But though the little one continued to fret, the Wolf waited all day in vain. Then, toward nightfall, he heard the Mother's voice again as she sat down near the window to sing and rock her baby to sleep. "There, child, there! The Wolf shall not get you. No, no! Daddy is watching and Daddy will kill him if he should come near!" Just then the Father came within sight of the home, and the Wolf was barely able to save himself from the Dogs by a clever bit of running. Do not believe everything you hear.

The Ant and the Dove

Image
Aesop's Fables :  AN ANT went to the bank of a river to quench its thirst, and being carried away by the rush of the stream, was on the point of drowning.  A Dove sitting on a tree overhanging the water plucked a leaf and let it fall into the stream close to her.  The Ant climbed onto it and floated in safety to the bank.  Shortly afterward a birdcatcher came and stood under the tree, and laid his lime-twigs for the Dove, which sat in the branches.  The Ant, perceiving his design, stung him in the foot.  In pain, the birdcatcher threw down the twigs, and the noise made the Dove take wing. One good turn deserves another
