This little guy is called sketch. His life long dream is to one day become a mascot for a website. He doesn’t need paying, he doesn’t even want feeding. He just wants a home! Could you give him one? Leave a comment if you have a website and would like to adopt him.

George is the result of picking up my pen and drawing random shapes. He consists of just 3 circles, 3 rectangles and 1 triangle. The aim was to create a character with personality that anyone could draw from scratch and although he might look complicated at first, he is actually one of the easiest to draw on Cartoonist Blog.
Look closely and find where the underlying shapes are, why don’t you have a go at drawing him yourself? I’m looking forward to seeing your efforts.

I have been extremely ill for the last few days, struggling to get out of bed with what is probably some form of food poisoning but yesterday there was a knock at the door. It was a woman asking for me.
I managed to drag myself over to see what the lady wanted and as I got to the door, she pulled out a huge bouquet of helium balloons with get well soon written on them and handed me a gift bag. In the gift bag was a cute teddy, named Maurice.
I might be feeling my lowest right now, but at least I’m lucky enough to have such an incredible friend who would spend good money on me and do this, just to make me smile.

This here drummer is Josh, a good friend of mine from a small town that’s full of old people called Pickering. Josh is the most musically talented person I have ever met and when it came to cartooning him there was only ever going to be one theme.
Tomorrow, Rocker Josh gets illustrated.

Quasar is a laser tag game where people get kitted out in armour, get themselves a gun and run around a dark arena scoring points by shooting the opposing players.
This is Quasar’s biggest fan, which has earned him the title of Quasar Jim.

Most people in my home country of England will know who this guy is, but for those of you who don’t, it’s football legend and World Cup winner, Bobby Charlton.

Today’s sketch is my first one of a real person, cartooned of course. The victim is Lisa, a 25 year old hair stylist from England, who also happens to be my sister. Lisa loves to paint and has a room full of blank canvasses just sitting there waiting to be turned into masterpieces, which was the inspiration for this sketch.
As you can see, she is looking quite upset because she desperately wants to fill those canvasses with colour but at the moment just can’t get the time.
Tomorrow, I will be bringing cartoon Lisa to life with a full colour illustration.

This guy was a quick 5 minute sketch. He is a modern man who spends a long time trying to look good. His main problem though, is that he loves his food and it always goes straight to his chin! He spends hours everyday doing chinups in an effort to lose the blubber but to no avail!

Isn’t he a cutie! Cardbot was inspired by Pixar’s Wall-E but isn’t quite as advanced. I wanted Cardbot to be something believable, a box with a personality. When I was a youngster I would always turn old carboard boxes into things like cars, houses and sometimes robots just like Cardbot here.
